  Dear experts, whoever or wherever you are....PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE review and recommend ways to URGENTLY legalize the property tax regime. While you are at it, please explain why, all the so called good governments this country has had seem to have ignored this trove of tax revenue. I live in a US$75000 valued house, and am assessed and asked to pay less than 50.00 Ghana cedis annually (I think it is thirty four cedis).!! What gives? May be, they are afraid it's too transparent a tax system, compared to the ports' Task force sham........aoow, Ghana

  The tax net needs to be widened to get the private sector contributing more to the exchequer and reduce the burden of taxation on the public sector workers.
