Briobery and corruption which buys the conscience and sanity of the whole leadership hierarchy of Ghanaians from the president down to the office cleaner if what gives these foreign operating institutions to wantonly disregards Ghana's laws.
Blame the government for tolerating bribery and corruption among its ranks.

Of course employers must not be allowed to abuse their employees with relevant laws, but to force a union on every single business is as stupid as it can be. What about if some employees don't want to belong to a union. Must they be coerced and bamboozled into joining one by people with power trips?

Extreme communism, no, but we leave in societies and can not adopt these society wrecking capitalist stance you have.
Try and conduct an educative poll in Ghana between socialism and capitalism and see if you speak for yourself or for that matter, the majority of Ghanaians.

Well said, Moses, a company should not be forced to unionise, certainly not in Ghana. Why is productivity so low in Ghana, because too many unionised workers are LAZY and know they can get away with anything. Union officials are totally irresponsible and that is almost without exception. They tend to be also quite ignorant and do understand business. The labour laws lean too heavily towards favouring the worker and it has not worked. The Ghanaian worker is LAZY. People do not like to hear that but it is the truth.

Tokugawah or whatever you call yourself, don't speak to an issue when you have not fully understood the matter in discussion. Visit any of the p2w sites and you will be amazed how university graduates work and go home with peanut at the end of the month. One would expect that hard work attracts better salaries and better conditions of work. I don't blame the Israelis; the few leading ghanaians of management are the cause of all this. They can't advise them to do the right thing by respecting the laws of their own country. Mercy!

P2worker, what exactly do you mean by peanut? Every worker everywhere can always be paid more. The graduates of P2 knew what their pay would be when they accepted the position. Workers in Ghana ALWAYS think they have to share in the profits of their employers. The employers take a risk when they set up businesses but Ghanaians always think their employers make a lot of money every year, even when business is bad, and so they must share in profits. Very few businesses last for long because the workers drive them into the ground. If graduates think they are being paid peanuts and not the market rate, they should leave their jobs, they are not tied to the company.

Tokugawah, You are right. That union produces lazy workers. State fishing corporation slid down hill when they joined the union. Workers hid under the umbrella of union and refused to work and take instruction from their senior officers. This Union idea is scaring a lot of investors from Ghana. If this so called union can do what P2W is doing why not go into business for them selves and hire all its union workers.
