  There's the need to scale up the activities of FORIG under the CSIR, especially in the area of afforestation, and re-afforestation, to mitigate the dwindling vegetation cover of the country, which has led to the situation, where timber is now going to be imported from Cameroon, with the loss of much needed foreign exchange, and resultant unemployment.
