  Congrats to Odotobri RB of Jacobu, Ash/R, for rising from the ashes in the early 90s and rising to the top! It was one of the banks I used in my MPhil dissertation on the rural banks of Ghana. Then, the ex-Manager and staff had embezzled very badly the deposits, thanks to the very poor supervisory regime BoG of had in place for the rbs.

  What criteria did the awards organisers use to determine the Retail outlet of 2012? What an insult to the victims of the November 2012 Melcom disaster at Achimota. Melcom sell nothing but inferior substandard goods. They go for the cheapest goods on the Chinese market - the type that is only manufactured for the African market. The quality of Melcom products fall way short of European, British and American standards. Rewarding Melcom with such an award is an endorsement of their sharp practices. The owners of Melcom are laughing at Ghanaians.
