It is time for the thousands of oneman churchs in ghana, who are making millions of cedis from ghanaians to create jobs.They sould give loans to their members in groups. To form self employment scheams,men could go into poultry farming and women could engage in setting up restaurants. Name the restaurant after you church and seh how it gose.We are in hard times so i hope God will bless any pastor who is able to help some of his members to secure jobs.With little intrest on the loans the chuch will gain profit. Give it a try, God bless you.

Ghana is retrogressing because the nation is in the hands of "illicit" who are absolutely clueless about governance. I do not blame these graduates but the current administration.

I have known a very long time ago,that in Ghana,academic requirements for jobs are overstated.e.g. A position a foreign mission would required a High Sch.graduate,Ghanaian institutions and Companies would advertise for a University graduate.
Recently I saw an advert somewhere.They were looking for a high Sch graduate for the position and I was surprised because,in my Country they would prefer a university
graduate for nothing.There a lot of MSc and MA on jobs that does not need those
levels of qualifications.

When I read events like this one it makes me excited. Necessity is the mother of invention. I will tell the graduate to hang in there. Find ways to establish something small on their own. Invest their time in learning about how some of the very successful companies in the world made it. Get the attitude that their destiny is in their own hands and they will work hard to succeed. Our universities will have to change drastically in how we train our students.Agriculture has immense potential for our youth unfortunately we are trained to believe it is for outcast. Smalll agriprocessing industries can bring tremendous emancipation from poverty but that has not been tapped yet. Our religious leaders will have to come up with smart ideas to solve the poverty and not spend all the time praying. God gave us a brain better than that of a fowl yet the fowl by the end of the day has had three square meals what about us? A nice example will be this , in 2000 we had alot of refugees from Liberia. Some took to prostitution, others lambasting the govt for not doing enough for them others took their destiny into their own hands and started farming pepper out of these they built their houses ,were able to feed their family and I know of one who is a multimillionaire now. What is the difference here ???. I salute you guys who are willing to take a low paying job and less glorified jobs while you find ways to make it better. Some of us live out of Ghana we do our best to support friends who are trying to start poultry business and other forms of businesses in Ghana and we are still working hard to bring business/manufacturing to our motherland because if I become a billionaire and still come from a country that has abject poverty it is still a bitter pill to swallow so we are with you all.

however, we still need to hold the government responsible of some of the action that can directly or indirectly kills local industry and also makes its difficult starting up small business unattractive.
in a nut shell ''with God all things are possible'', lets try and give motivation to our brothers and sisters who are on the wrong side after finishing jss, sss, polytechnic,and uni.
now am more scared for our innocent female looking for job, some have to endure the punishment of sleeping with company bosses just for job, how can we be that cruel as a country?

Our unemployed youth must ask themselves a lot of questions. Have they not acquired knowledge? Do they not have skills?
The key to self-employment is to provide a service or good for which people are prepared to pay. People must eat, so food sells. People must wear clothes, so clothing sells.
The youth should make the most of their skills and knowledge, and put these to the service of society for a fee. They should consider joining hands in joint ventures.
The Chinese come all the way from China to dig gold in our land by hook or by crook. Why can we not learn from them and exploit what is ours for our own benefit?

I refer all unemployed youth to Proverbs 31:13 to 27
She selects wool and flax
and works with eager hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships,
bringing her food from afar.
15 She gets up while it is still night;
she provides food for her family
and portions for her female servants.
16 She considers a field and buys it;
out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
17 She sets about her work vigorously;
her arms are strong for her tasks.
18 She sees that her trading is profitable,
and her lamp does not go out at night.
19 In her hand she holds the distaff
and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
20 She opens her arms to the poor
and extends her hands to the needy.
21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household;
for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
22 She makes coverings for her bed;
she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
23 Her husband is respected at the city gate,
where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
24 She makes linen garments and sells them,
and supplies the merchants with sashes.
25 She is clothed with strength and dignity;
she can laugh at the days to come.
26 She speaks with wisdom,
and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
27 She watches over the affairs of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
