Remember, the fundamental fact about your so call investigative journals rest on the fact that the rice is cheaper in that country than ghana because of the import duties. else, it is also an importing nation? Why are you so disingenuous to economic forces? granted that, it cost to ship the rice to ghana and your assumed bribe paid there will be nothing left to encourage smuggling. Our local rice is cheaper and more nutritious and ghanaians will buy the local produced rice if imorted rice is expensive.

i can buy 10-25 pound bags in usa for $9 (18 cedi) And most time in usa the bigger the bag, less price per pound due to less packaging materials and labor..Apply to most all things..A 1 liter bottle of coke can cost same as 2 ... read full comment
