  Interesting how the numbers in the article have been regurgitated by the mining lobby. Mining hasnt benefited the country. And people need to realize that these mining investment inflows dont benefit Ghana as they are usually in the form of machinery and not labor.

  The Chamber of Mines is a shameless destroyer of Ghana. How much do your foreign patrons take out of the mouths of poor naked children? Mining does not help Ghana, it destroys the country. Road destruction, water pollution, farm destruction, slave wages for Ghanaians, destruction of our economy, and continually insulting Ghanaians with these cheap propaganda. Shame on you.

  Mining cannot provide over 40% of total income to the Government of Ghana and not be good for the country!
  I know two senior Ghanaian in the mining industry earning over USD400,000 p.a., hardly slave wages! The key environmental destruction is by illegal miners using mercury that the government has not stopped for political reasons. Get your facts right.
