  The non-stop talking about Ghana external debt by private groups is in itself damaging Ghana's image abroad. The lesser the talks, the better. After all, all countries have debts and Ghana's cannot be an exception. It is even better, in Ghana's case, because the greater proportion of its debt is associated with infrastructural development which is on going. It is a long-term project and its reward is long-term.

  Debt for the development of the country has is not a bad deal for the nation. If a nation like Ghana goes in for a loan to build Bui dam, gas pipeline in Atuobo for the development of the country is done deal.These two projects are capital investment that the nation will benefit after deal of that person who brought that idea. I could remember when the opposition were against the building of the AKOSOMBO DAM. Like wise Rawlings ambition of developing university for Development Studies at the North, Mr js Mensah and the gurus of the NPP were against it , there is U.D.S. for use. I do not think a Ghanaian leader will like to give him /she self a bad name by collecting loan for her personal interest.
