  These are sad stories from people with knowledge.Things are not going well in Ghana.We have placed all our hope on the new found oil revenue,leaving all other sectors to the mercy of benevolence and sympathizers.When shall we start to think and do things that will move us forward?.It looks like this government do not understand and do not have solutions to our problems.

  Government must do this too. The cocoa farms belong to individuals and they should have been renewing the trees. Why wait for government. You shoutgaianst socialism so let us practice the capitalism

  This cannot be a surprised. With no planned renewal this is what would happen. There has been no agric census of these trees in order to know about stock levels and plan for their replcement

  Instead of cutting down old trees why not leave them and plant additional new hybrid crops. This is just common sense. There is abundance of land. After all, the old trees are still producing...this will increase yields at th ...

  What is wrong with the mentality of some people in Ghana?Cocoa have for a long time been the back bone of the nation,and for someone to think,helping farmers to renovate their farms is socialism is to say the least myopic.What about spending millions of almighty dollars in the north to rear birds who fly to another country and never come back;and plant trees that never see daylight. Please, if you have nothing productive to say do not say it here, period.If helping farmers in the north is not socialism, why is helping cocoa farmer is?
