GIVE THOSE GIRLS THE ENCOURAGEMENT AT THE EARLY YEARS AND IT WILL BEAR THE REQUIRED FRUITS LATER. HAVE YOU HEARD OF TIGER WOODS? THE FATHER STARTED HIM WHEN HE WAS A TODDLER. It's been hammered into the psyches of Ghanaian women or girls that a girl is not supposed to do this or that. Not until the old school generation passes on this mentality will always be instilled into our girls thereby making it difficult for most women to reach their potentials. I have two grand daughters and I often catch myself practicing what I was taught growing up in Ghana. I wanted to learn and ride bikes but was not allowed to since scraping knees and having scars on my body was unladylike. We have to change our mentalities, folks.
