  They can shut the mine and go outright.
  They have already made what they needed,at the detriment of the nation.

  Kofi Sam, sorry you do not know what you are talking about. The mines has been in the hands of the British since its inception. Sam Jonah is one person who has helped Obuasi immensely. Secondly, the company does not belong to Sam Jonah. It is the Ghana government that has an oversight responsibility over the company.

AT A FORUM HELD AT THE NATIONAL THEATRE RECENTLY, A REPRESENTATIVE OF GOLDEN STAR RESOURCES BOGOSO DID NOT MINCE WORDS WHEN HE QUESTIONED WHY THE GOVERNMENT HAD REFUSED TO SIGN STABILITY AGREEMENT WITH IT WHILE IT HAD DONE SO WITH NEWMONT WITH GLEE. ESTHER DAPAAH OF NPP AND COLLINS DUADA OF NDC SHORTCHANGED GHANA AND ALLOWED NEWMONT TO RAPE OUR MOTHER GHANA. NEWMONT IS GOING TO REMOVE THE AJENUA-BEPO AND REPLACE IT WITH A TRENCH 900 METRES WIDE; 500 METRES DEEP AND 2.5 KILOMETRES LONG. THEY WILL IN THE PROCESS DESTROY FIVE TRIBUTARIES OF RIVER PRA THAT SUPPLIES WATER TO CAPE COAST, SEKONDI, TAKORADI AND SURROUNDING AREAS. THE NATIONAL SECURITY SHOULD PUT THOSE WORKING AT EPA AND MINERALS COMMISSION ON ITS RADAR. THEY ARE ALLOWING NEWMONT TO RAPE MOTHER GHANA.
