  Ghana was the Leader in the Oil Palm and unfortunately, we LOST our class to Malaysia, just after we introduced the crop to the Far-Easterners.
  The Malaysians have the authority in the cultivation, and their Foreign Reserves keeps ringing them good tunes. We have abundance of Deputy Advisors and the Leadership ought to have responded to the needs of the Growers.

  AGRIC IS THE FOUNDATION OF OUR ECONOMY YET IT IT IS FRAUGHT WITH TOO MANY PROBLEMS. GOVT MUST BE BOLD LIKE IT DID IN THE ENERGY SECTOR, GO LOOK FOR BIG TIME LOAN AND FIX AGRIC. IT CAN PAY FOR THE LOAN IN NO TIME

  Malaysia sent their people to Ghana at the time to learn about oil palm production and the rest they say is history.
  It's clear that leadership has being extremely irresponsible in their ability to govern and address the socio-economic development of the country.
  The matter has become extremely dire in the midst of the oil find, with the result that, the Dutch disease is effectively here with us.
  The expectation was that, the inflow of funds on the back of the oil find would have led to rapid and robust injection of investment capital in the priority areas to truly expand the economic frontiers and address the huge unemployment situation by leapfrogging the manifest benefits of mechanized value addition processes in agriculture based on global outlook by gov't policy formulation, implementation and interventions, which has sadly being very lacking. What we have been met with is a very insatiable appetite by the NDC gov't for thievery and looting of the national kitty and state assets, further increasing the unemployment situation and exacerbating the principal factors of despair, hopelessness and despondency in the social fabric of the country. It is therefore not surprising that the youth who have been mostly affected have resorted to suicides on the back of lack of employment opportunities and upward mobility on the social ladder and economic inclusion. The NDC gov't clearly is not cut out for serious governance and need to be voted out in 2016.
