If they want to partner why not. If they can help Ghana have a strong regional airline, why not? People would stop in Accra before going to other locations in Africa. It makes sense.

And the funny thing is let a foreign airline come to Ghana and we will not hesitate to expose our foolishness to them about how they should operate.

I will be happy to that the government has no hands in any National carrier because that has been our headaches for all these years. It should be a private entity with stringent measures just to make it profitable.

Let us be honest. Ghanaians know how to steal and ruin a business. Realistically, it is okay to have foreign run businesses with some local Ghanaian staffing. An all Ghanaian operation is simply not going to work.

This proposal should be 'DOA' - the GoG has squandered more than $300 MILLION (USD) on failed airlines - and this would be YET another financial disaster.

Delta will NOT support any other airline - they WILL 'use' the airline for its' own benefit - and I'm not criticizing Delta - that's just the way it is.
Unless, and until, private investment finds the right people to manage an airline - and know how to make a profit - the 'airline' business in Ghana will remain the way it is.

I think a lots of people are not looking at positive side of this offer by DL if this is true. The truth is GH can never run it's own airline due to the greedy of our leaders who thinks about only their pocket and not the people of our great nation. With DL willing to help re-establish GH, it opens doors to a whole new possibilities which in turns can help the people of Ghana. If this was to come through, it will be huge for DL as they will be using ACC as their African hub or gateway to the North Americas.I would assume that the GH will start off within Africa and bring pax travelling to North or to the Americas to ACC and DL will take over from there. I have every believe that DL will jump into this if the right people comes to the table as this will be huge for DL. lets not forget that Lots of Countries don't operate their own airlines. Most airlines are run by by investors. Eg: Air Canada. DL, LH, BA, and so on. So it won't be such a bad idea for the government to pair up with DL to bring up GH
