WE SET THE SIZE OF THE LEGISLATURE SO, WE MUST MUSTER THE COURAGE TO REDUCE IT IF WE ARE FACING PROBLEMS. THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD REMEMBER THAT THE GENERALLY ACCEPTED BUDGET DEFICIT IS 3% OF GDP.
  IDEALLY,OUR CREDIT RATING WILL IMPROVE ONLY IF OUR BUDGET DEFICIT IS NARROWED TO A LEVEL CLOSE TO 3% OF GDP.

  Massa; there is NO WAY Ghana can control its budget deficit ; the damage have already been done besides there have attempts to control the budget deficit for years but this aim have never been achieved ; the leakage in the economic sewage system is too high ; the only answer tom is this government to cut down on the unproductive civil service ; cut down on our parliamentarians to about 150 ; cut down the number of advisers at the Presidents office ; attempt to collect all outstanding debts including previous dents under the Government loan gurantee scheme which was advanced to so many so call businessmen ; including BA mensah ; TATA Brewaays ;David Lamptey and a whole host of so called business men who assets that their children are enjoying today the records are availvable the Ministry of Financel simply go for these loans.

We dont need deputy ministers, we dont need over paid board members, we dont need 4x4's for govt officials, half of the foreign travel by govt officials is a waste etc etc etc

  Ghana's economic problem is not much of lack of resources but how to keep spending within the limit of the resourses available. It is not just enough to promise heavens during elections when the facts of the country's capacities to fulfil such promises are unavailable. This promises are not just limited to the ruling NDC party but NPP as well. Had the opposotion NPP won the elections, the country would have experienced the same economic difficulties if it had to implement its free SSS education.
  
  The more pathetic of it all is Ghanaian negative brand of partisan politics is unhelpful in all ramifications. No other country in the world insult Presidents as Ghanaians do their President John Mahama, everyone and anybody not in your party is an enemy and must insulted and derided and if possible concoct lies to bring his business down; this kind of politics is practiced in Ghana and no one seem to see anything wrong with it. The most worrying is certain class of Ghanaians who see others as less Ghanaians and so do not qualify to rule Ghana, to these 'special' Ghanaians, for as long as the land they occupy is endowed with mineral resources upon which the country's income comes from; it automatically confers on them as the rightful and bonafide occupier of the Presidency.
  
  Ghanaians have played their brand of politicts to the absolute neglet of any meaningful human developments, while other African countries are making steady progress in infrastructual and human development, the average Ghanaian is engrossed in runing fellow Ghanaian down with all the efforts he can garner. The governments of Ethiopia, Nigeria, Angola and Kenya aftermath of the World Economic Forum in Nigeria were all beneficiaries of multi billion dollars multiple bilateral agreements, at about the same time these events were taking place, Ghanaians were busy insulting the Asante King who dared to advice them to talk less task themselves to work. Ghana is certainly on the wrong path politically and if radical change is not sort after the soonest; the rest of the world will no doubt have an explosive tribal conflict to deal with in Ghana.
  
  I can't wait to see that war, probably that'll be the panacea to end the senceless insults and disrespect for the leaders and elderly that seem to be a very serious cancerous attitude eating all Ghanaians away. Is it any wonder Ghana with a GDP of over $40 Billion dollars cannot boast of single home made Billioneer while Sudan, Angola, Kenya, Uganda, Zimbabwe and others have very wealthy individuals who made their monies on a home business activities. Its a shame Ghanaians hate to see one of their own getting rich, else he is labelled a thief and a criminal and so Ghanaians are by their nature envious people who never wants the progress of anyone, the least their own countrymen. Ghanaians are haters and jealous people by nature, they'll continue to be in the lower economic strata if the attitude of empty talks and less tasks are not abated.
