  Revamping the cocoa industry will only be successful by tackling Crop Nutrition and Crop Protection and not formation of Committees. We are not running an academic institution.

  The COCOBOD plays an important role in the nation by supplying other neighbourhood countries with cocoa.The government have to atted to your problems in order to curb these challnges which has lead to the loss of position as the leading cocoa country. In order to curb these challenges with little or no support from the government, knowing the factors that have impeded your success is very good. Howerver, the next step is to identify possible solution to curb these challenges. Economic factors happens to be a major source of your challnges. This has to do with the exchange rate and inflation or deflation.When this happens, it affects the production of cocoa and the quality wise. Also, economic situation decreases your earnings and returns on investment which will bring about financial and material bankruptcy. Another issue is the lack of fund to introduce new technology in the production of cocoa as well as the issue of pest and disease which sums up to financial stagma. The COCOBOD can however take a critical study of the environment to know the potential opportunities available for success. There is also the need to identify your strenght and weaknesses so as to build upon to strenght to overcome your weaknesses. Another thing to consider is to study and benchmark the strategies adopted by competitors in the neighbourhood countries.   Cocobod is under curse they built Mansons in ACCRA TEMA KUMASI TAKORADI and other places and they leave the cocoa famers alone NO VOTING IN SEFWILAND UNLESS WE GET NORTH WEST REGION BASTA
