  For Ghana to increase its value-added products, it should invest heavily in Research and Development (R&D). Our universities must have adequately financed faculties to carry out research in local materials for derivatives. Right now, aside KNUST, the country's other universities have inefficient facilities to embark on R&D. Their financing aspect has been abysmal.
