  The people of Central region and Saltpond in particular have not benefited from this resources since 1970,when oil was discovered in the area.It is only Tsikata and some Nigerians are benefiting the resources from the area.The Fantes from the area are sleeping,they always go to Tsikata and co. to beg for some money.I don't understand why the Fantes are useless like that,to allowed someone from Volta region to control their wealth.The Ashantis are benefiting from gold resources since the colonial era in their region.Why should we sleep and turn beggers with our own resources.

  Fantes in central region are not "USELESS" so are the Ahantas, Nzimas and Wassaman from the western region either. However to be polite and obliged doesn't mean we are cowards and we cannot act on our own behalf. oh!! yes we can, but secrecy is often told advisably.
  Obviously you were aware of what happened when the western chief asked for 10% of the petroleum revenue.
  The answer from our late were, "the petroleum revenue is for the whole Ghanaians and not for one region".
  But the question here is, From 1968 to present which region has been able to dip its hand into the Ghana's investment pool for the regions development?
  So what made you think the revenue from Saltpond reservoir will be made public to you? Maybe you have your reason of calling the Fantes useless
  WE ARE NOT. We love all Ghanaians equally as we love ourselves. We feed the nation with our resources and even pay the IMF/WORLD LOANS,(80%). And still the Ghana government doesn't give a hoot-n-half about the Fantes or the Brong Ahafo people.
