  I HOPE THEY MAINTAIN NOT JUST DRIVE ON IT BY THOSE DISTRICTS. I THINK IS ABOUT TIME GHANA DECENTRALISED AND HAVE LOCALLY ELECTED DISTRICT, MUNICIPAL AND REGIONAL LEADERSMAYORS WITHOUT GOVERNMENT APPOINTING THEM

  with govenors for regions( states) and city mayors. Elect ama/kma/sma etc,,elect school board to oversee local school operations..Even the large districts like Accra and Kumansi should be responsible for water and waste water ...

  What is mediocre about publicising the positive impact a road on rural communities?

  It's a great positive distraction from the daily dose of corruption news.
  
  The politicians must be patriotic enough to aim high: set a goal that we should be FULLY road-infrastructured and -worthy by 2050.
  
  If this road starts disintegrating after 5 years or just after the next rain, the contractors but be arrested, prosecuted and jailed, and be made to vomit all the money.
  
  Other than the comfort, safety, travelling time and easier access to market, I share in the big relief that the poor farmers feel.
