well they gave out 1/5 of that amount already since they wanted more from ghana in the form of crude oil etc and ghana wised up, everything on the remaining amount came to a halt but we are paying the full interest on the 3 ...

I agree. Sad thing is that despite all the failures, some are still,.. Politicians paaaa,.. Why is it that their only interests are just based on greed ? I did a little bit of research on this the other day. The Chinese model is poor and rejected by many. On top of that everyone in china has to wear mask due to pollution. Their solar energy is terrible. Meanwhile Germany who doesn't get much sun has done so much on solar that they are not even relying on their nuclear stations any more. The Danes and Japan also exceeded all expectations. These guys have offered information and assistance but, just watch and see. Ghana will end up with a system which is worse and costs more to build in comparison to the money being spent to find that plane in the Indian ocean

China is in to strangle but not help you.
They condone corruption and bribery everywhere.
We have to seek help from the WEST but not CHINA,INDIA etc.

because our leaders do not have the balls to champion our home made stuff in the world market grow industries by using our agric products and natural resources to feed this industries. komenda, asuatuare sugar, jute, ghana rubber industries just to mention this few are all there but needs to be revived but yet we are busy chasing loans and airlifting millions of dollars somewhere while nurses, midwives etc who came out of school two yrs ago have not been paid. how much will it cost to revive this industries and give employment to the youth not that much.
but when our leaders cannot see but believe in buy and sell subsistence system of living and heavily on importation the results is our current economic nemesis. south korea pursued economic path and growth without any foreign aid or loans IMF knows this. they worked hard to feed their industries with their natural resources into finished products and they embraced made in south korea products today look at south korea.
we used to have ghana tyre factory at bonsa and they were being fed with rubber from the rubber plantations in the neighborhood, today where is that company and i wept while driving through bonsa to tarkwa seeing all these rubber products being exported elsewhere why we can revive this industries to give employment to the youth. our leaders are vissionless. never saw nkrumah and do not care what was said about him but he really did well for ghana with all those factories, then tema motorway, tema harbour plus the dam, would we have achieved this with the current crop of politicians and leaders hell no. ghana would have been like a village.
