Where are the railways? Why are these guys being paid at all? Don't they know that the outfit they are working for is on life support all because the management and workers did not care for it? Let them strike and scream.

Why do we have workers for a Company which doesn`t exist?
Which part of the Country do we have Trains?
This can only happen in an African Country where laws are not working,like Ghana.

To you all, the government says there is a Ghana railways company under the ministry of transport. That it has 2 lines namely Accra - Tema and Accra - Nsawam. You may all might have heard Presidents of Ghana promising to revamp the railways sector and the so call " Western Rail Line". So Whose Fault?

These goons in government must be kicked out, in the interim those "railway workers" can scream and shout their lungs out.

There is a CEO who gets paid like the CEO of the ADB or CAL Bank or any other private entity in Ghana. A high percentage (98%) of Ghanaian CEOs do not have any strategy and don't manage.

WE ARE INDEED FAILED PEOPLE: WE HAVE ONLY DESTOYED EVERYTHING THAT WERE HANDED TO US BY THE DEPARTING BRITISH ADMINISTRATION AND THE THE CPP GPVERNMEMNT UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF DR KWAME NKRUMAH.

You know the Railway Union has been one of the most destructive groups in the history of Ghana.
They inherited a sound system established by the colonial government and through such moves as they are now contemplating have lost everything.
Maybe the various governments that have been in power since 1957 are to blame for not releasing balance sheets and other pertinent financial statements as to how the system was doing.
My suggestion is to fire all the current workers and ask Sir Charles Bronson or another successful businessman to infuse capital into the railway system.
We need a savy businessman who can refurbish the railway tracks from the narrow gauge system that we have now to the wide gauge system which will increase turn around time and most important of all make all the lines double track.
To hell with workers and unions who want to rely forever on government subsidies and not pay their way.
A privately run railway line will provide tax money to the government in two ways: taxes on their profits and payroll taxes from employees.
When are we going to stop marking time and move forward? When are we going to make Ghanaians realize that going to church and praying will not solve our problems?
Our problems will be solved by tilling the soil and growing food and praying for the rains. Prayers will not let the land grow food by itself or make the railways run on time or on schedule.
Getting up and going to work on time and working for all the paid hours is the only answer!
