  This is a great opportunity to invite the Army to take over the Venture. It will be a training ground for them in more ways than one. It will help them deepen their managerial expertise and competences. It will help then also to gain security expertise in moving troops around the country at times of emergency as they develop an understanding of the road network and its capacity
  
  Ghana is suffering from the fact that we have so far not established a good model for managing state assets and resources. The Egyptians use the Army for doing so many things and this has been good for the economy .Turkey has also done this.
  
  Ghana will do well to decide on following them. Lets use the STC to do this.

  Why not float shares of STC when it becomes profitable?
  
  This would recapitalise the company and transfer its ownership to the Ghanaian private sector.
  
  STC is a viable company. It just requires much better management.
