  The onus of strengthening the cedi lies with the policies put forth by the bank of gh and the minister of finance. The bank of gh oversees the micro and the finance minister oversees the macro. Interest rates, mortgages, bank levies, loan rates, taxes etc are discussed and put forth by the 2 and often communicated by the finance minister. Whiles currency printing, denominations, interest rates etc are overseen by the bog. So these monkeys can't even compare notes with other western nations..why waste time in court over such matters. Create, loot and share again?

  Ghanaians are very funny! Instead of them to be bold enough and tell Mahama and his idiots to step down look at what they are doing. I know you favoured Mahama to win the supreme court case because you thought he could perform better but now look at the way he is moving the country to? Therefore, you idiots have right to tell Mahama off to step down. I am right to Day this but l know Dome foolish men will come to attack me. But l don't Care because l am right.

  John Ephraim Baiden, a lawyer and former banking lecturer, filed a writ in the country’s apex court in March seeking a declaration that “upon a true and proper interpretation of Article 183(2)(a) of the 1992 Constitution and Bank of Ghana Act, 2002, Section 4(b), the Bank of Ghana has neither promoted nor maintained a stable currency for the Republic of Ghana.”
  
  Article 183(2)(a) of Ghana’s constitution says: “The Bank of Ghana shall promote and maintain the stability of the currency of Ghana and direct and regulate the currency system in the interest of the economic progress of Ghana”, and Section 4(b) of the Bank of Ghana Act, 2002, provides that the central bank “shall promote by monetary measures the stabilisation of the value of the currency within and outside Ghana.”
  
  The plaintiff asserts in his case that the level of depreciation of the cedi over time does not show the central bank to be promoting and maintaining a stable currency for economic progress, and wants the court to concur and order the bank to stabilise the currency.

  The central Bank of Ghana is messing up with the Ghana cedis and causing blames on president Mahama. Before the old cedi was removed from the Ghanaian system, I was one of the people that recommended the method of removing the zeros from the old cedi to a single digit an idea I obtained from the Turkish economy. During Kufour regime, the cedi was supported and monitored by the central Bank of Ghana. The foreign currencies were pumped into the Ghanaian system while the Ghana cedi was held as a scarce commodity in our economy. In simple terms we had less cedis in the system while we had more foreign currencies flooding in the economy.
  As a result of this, the foreign currencies became cheap against the local currencies and the economy of the country went well. Things were cheap. Kids could take one cedi to school for lunch. Today a president from the North has become a tribal issue and a problem for the country so the central Bank is intentionally sabotaging the economy in the name of NDC and the punishment is now on the neck of everyone in the country. It is so shameful that the management of Ghana central bank is doing this to our own country. Ghana is our home land and only we can make it better. No one from anywhere in the world would come to Ghana to help build Ghana for us. Shame against the central Bank of Ghana.

  We said that the state has nothing to do with business, thus how can a person who is not in business control the value of the currency. When you import goods and services you must have the same value of goods and services, or better more than that value or your currency that is consuming without producing will fall.
  This case is like trying to force your wife who is going to the market on a village market day to take gongong and announce before the market day that she is the one in charge of the price of goods and services in the market. That she is going there to detect the price of goods and services and one who does not agree should keep away from the market.

  government is not telling us the trueth and she must be forced by the laws of the land to give us the honest Picture of the economy.
  
  and the economic handlers must also be forced to give us the realistic solution to the Problems to Show us that they are more than compitent to hold those positions and deserve the monthly salary they paid themselfs
