  Let us standardise financial reporting and accounting for the mining sector, scrutinise their accounts and open their books for the past 20 to 30 years.
  
  Any companies which are found to have failed to fulfill their tax obligations should be made to pay up and be surcharged with hefty fines.
  
  Let us set up our own mines and extract the minerals, exploit our oil and gas resources for the benefit of all our people.
