Let the uninformed continue to revel in ignorance about the strengh and influence Nigeria command in economic weight in Africa. It is easy though to criticise when you have actually not gone through a practical experience in life, happy the Atuabo Gas will soon come on stream; there and then it offers us an opportunity to draw a comparative analysis with Nigeria how constant and reliable technology works with nature which is beyond human control. Each time NGas shortage news pops up in Ghana it is made to look like some incompetence or deliberate sabotarge is at play to run the Ghanaian economy down, however, never has any official in Ghana come out to state the facts of how Gas business operates or puts out there many variable factors that could cause fluctation in the flow of Gas.
Chevron and Shell Nig. own the Gas infrastructure and the technology deployed therein, NNPC is the local partners in NGas therefore could not have been responsible directly or influence what the quantum of Gas to be supplied to Ghana in particular. Ghana is not the only buyer of Nigerian Gas, more than 2 billion standard cubic ft of NGas is loaded and shipped to Europe monthly. We are waiting to see how reliable Atuabo Gas will operate if probably then, all of Ghana's Gas needs will have been solved permanently.

Ghana has not paid for the gas purchased before cus Ngas are bought buy countries like UK, INDIA etc and they don't complain of shortage

When is the Jubilee gas coming on stream?
GNGC should give us a regular update on progress.
The sooner the gas starts flowing to the thermal plants the better it will be for electricity generation.
