sure they are different types and names but anything different than full time your not working everyday...full time is America is anything over 40 hours(usually 5-8 hour days) most companies you have to work 40 hours to have insurance and paid sick days...Part time is good for young adults to make money while still in college or last couple years shs or retired people on pension..but anybody else would have to work 2-3 part time jobs to pay rent...And seasonal is like farm labour only working when time to pick cocoa or maize or rice..Or people only working in mall at Christmas time..But again only full time is everyday work!

Ghana's unemployed population is about 90 percent of the people capable of working; just like the politicians claiming we are middle income economy but the true facts put us among the poorest 10 % of countries in the world.

I am not a university graduate but this statement a lone is a clear indication that the whole story is false. If 5.5% is the figure for the youth and 5.7% of them are males and 5.2% are females it makes the whole thing absurd.The fact is that males+females=youth and so 5.7+5.2 is not equal to 5.5. Is it 5.7% of the 5.5% representing the youth that are males or what. The figures here are heavily padded and fake. This story has unprofessional under-tone(political) and must be ignored. I suspect the author of this unholy story is a university graduate. This is how far our useless university graduates have brought us.

I do not doubt this number. Most employment in Ghana is informal. In that sense kayayoos, shoe shine boys, dog chain sellers etc etc would all be classified as employed.

Nobody knows where the so called gurus get their figures from. Even a blind man can truly see government's figures are wrong. Government always cooks the books because of politics. May be they are talking about only Accra.
