Rape cases are on the increase in Ghana. Judges and WAJU of the Ghana police force must do more to protect our society. Some people have become so notorious of raping and getting away with it. Many believe that it is a weapon capable of scarring individuals to the very soul and seize the least opportunity to use it; using it on the families of their political or business competitors. Not even those at the higher echelons of our society must get away with it. It is said that a man paid a student to rape the daughter of his business and political competitor. The rapist got away with it.
The number of court houses and judges in Ghana are inadequate especially in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The population has ballooned and changes have to be made. The same can be said of the number of police officers and the number of penitentiaries. On a visit to a number of court houses around the country I found the Ghana flag and the Ghana Coat of Arms (Seal) absent. This must change.

She needs to talk about training programmes, assistance with capital, feed production, marketing techniques before the ban is put in place.
This is a classic case of putting the horse before the cart. Everything about this government is lip service. They need to put their thinking cap on

I admire how serious issues about food security is presented trivially. In Ghana cost of production is very high due to cost of input, technology etc. Albeit what are the policy in place to boost up tilapia or fish farming in Ghana. Mind a ban on import with out a corresponding increase in local production will lead to sharp increase s in fish prices and scarcity. Fish farming is a capital intensive business and very risky. Let's position our fishery industry in order and properly analyse what can really be produced here in Ghana. Our fish imports does not consist only tilapia.

Ha, ha, haaaa, illiteracy is a disease indeed ! Our policy makers are JOKERS ! Merely banning the importation of fish without policies to increase supply would make the price of fish go up and since there is no ban on importing chicken, we will see more chicken imports. Our foreign exchange situation will remain the same. Of course only the Ministers will be able to afford tilapia and they will use it for their birthday parties, where they distribute Toyota Landcruisers !

Yes, seems like a laudable idea but the youth who are targeted to venture into this business space have no capital. My younger brother belongs in this group. He has learned all he needs about this business but has yet to implement what he knows. I have a supersized farm on a river bank and cannot get a penny from the government in subsidies or any form of loan arrangement unless I put up collateral. Where will these young ambitious entrepreneurs get the funding from? This administration never ceases to amaze me!!!

What are we looking at in terms of startup costs?
What kind of fish are you looking to work with?
Will you be willing to take partners in this business of yours?
Are you willing to start small, and reinvest profits, even if very marginal?
Give me some detail and I will see if I can be of assistance.
