  Ghanaman logic at its best - people will always smuggle! Rice, phones, clothing, you name it. The notion that YOUR 20% import duty is THE cause for smuggling phones is simply misleading. Removing the duty will simply lower gov't revenue, maybe lower the price of phones (the non-smuggled ones at least).
  
  Why not do this for everything, why not just remove all taxes, everywhere. That's simply not realistic, just as what you are asking for is opportunistic - it benefits you and your agenda first and foremost Mr. Sakyi-Addo
