I disagree with the workers. Have all workers agreed that their money should be managed by their leaders or is it the leaders who are dtermining what must be done? Why should government have a say in guaranteeing the fund and not have a say in where the funds are invested? I do not trust the leadership of the unions, I s,ell politics and fraudulent intentions in all this. The workers are suspicious government has spent their money and government is suspicious opposition elements in labour want to lay their hands on the fund to empower their businesses unedr the guise of investing.

I sympathasize with the workers.Ghana government owes every institution she does business with and if it gets its hands on this money, especially this particular government people will be sorry when they retire. I worked overseas for many years and now I am collecting my money every month easily and it is enough for me.There pension fund is not handled by government. The unions themselves invest it.God bless America.

Can the accounts for the 5% collected since 2011 be made public as soon as possible to reassure everyone that Govt indeed has not laid its hands on the funds? In anycase are there no other pension funds managed by non govt trustee around. What of the management of the superannuation funds from the KNUST and University of Ghana. What lessons can be learnt from these private pension schemes?? I have been reading about the unions concern with where the collected 5% is since 2010 under the former CEO of the Pensions Authority, the now appointed ambassador. Please, Government must provide the information and relevant statements and shut these unions up.
