The greatest subsidy we can give our farmers is good market for whatever they produce. Reducing post harvest losses by processing,and storage against lean season and above all an assured market will go a long way to secure the farmers financially enough that they will need no subsidy. We should walk the talk by deliberately stopping food imports so as the farmer gets market for his produce. The pretension is too much. If we can market,preserve and consume the produce of our subsistence farmers a lot can change the economy of rural folk. We should stop the empty bourgeois talks and get down to earth.

Farmers must wean themselves off subsidies’ Yet you want the food price to go down , the same oil that Arab world has that he even import cars and things that is not even much needing in people life and subsidies it , why cant the government continue when he has tax on it , its better the governemnt continue to subsidies everything than awarding them houses and cars in farmers day , we need subsidies more than Soli . This is funny why this Government , why African why ? What is wrong you ask us to buy made in Ghana rice and food yet you are going to let the farmers increase it . Awww this is dangerous why cant our leaders say something sensible than wasting time in parliament and holidays out of the nation , we have alot in African to cope with but we are the only continent that doesnt care about any of our future why not African tomorrow ,why dont we change the face of African in yars to come?
