Our government does not listen to wisdom but to itself. It is not a shame to take advise from your opponent if that will bode well for your country. Fundamentally, the ideology of our current government is anti business so they see the ideas that promote business as satisfying the few rich in society. Social investments may improve the living conditions of the poor but do not generate income.

So long as the government increases taxes, withdraws subsidies on refined petroleum products and utilities to push up inflation,the Bank of Ghana will increase the bank rate and make it costly to borrow money by the manufacturing sector.It has been the plight of our economy since the advent of John Mahama and the NDC.
If the searchlight is turned away from the interchanges to nowhere to the feeder roads and rural transportation to bring the rotting agricultural produce to the marketing centers, we may make a significant dent in the rate of inflation.
I doubt it if the 16% inflation rate can be reduced to 11% as projected by Seth Terkper.
