  It has been said that many lecturers lack teaching methodologies. What should be the minimum requirement when recruiting lecturers into a tertiary institution? Is it a masters degree or a PhD with a course in education??
  
  Professors in tertiary institutions must read GES directives. There are many important and useful GES directives which would help them.
  
  GES banned all forms of corporal punishment in Educational institutions but there are reports that some tertiary institutions are still carrying out this practice. Asking students to kneel down and so on.
  
  Lecturers in tertiary institutions must recognize the fact that students in these institution are adults.

  Transparency comes with the publication of a pending open bid process for all interested parties to see and to have a go at it; it does not come with restrictions based on preferred vendors.
  Preferences for Ghanaian owned bidding companies cannot be devoid of Ghanaians serving as fronts for foreign companies either. In fact such a preferred route is more likely to inflate pricing since outside parties who resort to using Ghanaian front companies will have to compensate those who serve as fronts in Ghana.
  An open public bid process means two things:
  1. Any registered and indemnified company can submit a price quotation as long as the bid package is recorded to have been received by the stipulated close time.
  2. On bid open date and time, the winner is always the package with lowest price cost to government while having all requisite forms completed and can and does provide insurance certification form if required.

  At the minimum, there must be parliament oversight over the award of blocks to foreigners. We can't leave just the GNPC to be awarding Ghana's land and sea rights to foreigners just like that... because such business borders ...
