This police behavior is dispicable, because they have in some way legalized corruption, and it goes on tells our children that corruption in this day and age is the right thing to do. How do we fight corruption if the organization charged to fight it from the ground up have made it open and "legal". Police corruption is easy to fight, however, instead of finding practical solutions to this menace, crime experts like DCOP Boakye is defending it, because "he may be a beneficiary".

You see the police take penny,penny from people on the streets which makes you to believe they are the most corrupt one in the country but I can tell you that there are more corrupt organizations in Ghana more than the police service and one of them is Ministry of Education which includes all the high institutions,the Accountant General's Department,electricity,the revenue collectors at all levels Land department or whatever is their name,and many other state institutions which I can list for you,at least the police are doing their best to protect us,taking penny,penny from drivers cannot make them the most corrupt.
The people coming out with those bogus polls are some of the corrupt people in the country.

In other jurisdictions warnings are given for some minor ommissions on the part of drivers.In Ghana everything amounts to arrest.

If you breach the law there is nothing like you have breached the law small so go away free. A policeman who takes C1 on the road side to allow an unworthy car to pass just for the car to go and throw out the 20 passengers in it and kill them all is as toxic to the national health as Wayome taking $51M for no work done. In law there is nothing like small crime so please get over this warped thinking. The police in Ghana are corrupt and you can never deny it.

In deed if you go to the harbour and interview importers who are clearing their goods they will tell you Custom Officers are corrupt. If you ask parents seeking admissions for their children they will tell you the heads of the schools are corrupt. The police is everywhere, so you may think they are more corrupt than anybody else, but that's not true.

We can't define corruption but if the police receive money b4 they write a complain is wrong.
My little advice to you is do your best to have police station in every constituency.
The number of police stations in Ghana is too small.
If you can also resort to neighborhood policing your force would become effective.
By neighborhood policing I mean, the local people are employed as police officers.
They work well cos they want to protect their people.
Do not bring somebody from the north, Volta or the south to come police in Kumasi.
I can't write much write a rejoinder, so that we can talk.
