  This gas deal is a step in the right direction and it is becomes better when Ghana benefits from our oil and gas resources in a transparent manner.
  This deal is being touted as a landmark deal with a whooping amount of $7billion dollars involved in this project.
  However, one needs to ask a few questions concerning this oil and ags deal.
  On 24th Nov; 2014, there was a report in the newspapers that said Ghana signs(seals)a $6billion oil and gas deal with ENI.
  One needs to ask was that deal signed today for a sum of $7billion dollars the same as the deal sealed for $6billion dollars as reported in the dailies on 24th Nov; 2014?
  If it was the same deal, what accounted for the difference of $1billion dollars?

  In my opinion, a decision must be made on ways and means to generate power from what we have, and gas+coal will definately solve the nations problem on generation of power. Most of these nations have moved to power generation with GAS+Coal, and moving away from atomic energy. We currently have gas and coal which is available but untapped, and can easily and quickly be mined. The new power energy Ministry must quickly come up with a solution to the energy crises. The biggest question is, IS GHANA STILL SUPPLYING LOME & BENNIN in this crucial time with electricity?
