  In this case the govt. either K4 or Mahama should tell/explain to Ghanaians what kind of contract it signed with the oil firm operating the Jubilee fields to haul away $250 billion in oil in less than 4 years and an insulting $1 billion given to Ghanaians. How much was the total investment by the company and for how long will this go on- 'Saltpond oil fields' has been in operation for decades and nobody seems to know what benefit Ghanaians have gained from it-yet our ministers and powers that be are globe trotting and buying houses here and there and sending their children to the best 'schools' overseas- it's about time Ghanaians also enjoyed a little bit of the oil money; during the Nigeria's oil boom the signs were there for all to see - what's in Ghana's case, our leaders have sold oil and we are still slaves in our own motherland-SHAME ON US ALL!

NO leaders in Ghana's political/military administration have ever spoken the truth and they will never do!

The beauty of this practice is that managers GNPC can shop around with the prospective blocks all over the world for the best bidders.

  ACEP often appears to be making serious statements on the Petroleum sector but some of us exposed to wider information know that they are not seriously indepth and significant. In fact, they are playing the role of a confidence mechanism system that lure the populace to think everything is well. Fact is, the oil sector in Ghana is already seriously sick; in fact, comatose! Ghana shall not derive the maximum benefits from its oil resources under the prevailing system which the Bill before Parliament wants to turn into a law. Efo Solo and GIGS have proven that fact many times over and even challenged ACEP and others in charge of the oil sector to prove them wrong. Total silence greeted that challenge.
  
  Now, what Dr Adam is saying already happening in the oil sector. It was the general case in Nigeria which made many people multi-millionaires and billionaires over night. The case of the now reported richest woman in the world, Mrs Alakija is exemplary. She didn't sell her block but went into partnership with an oil producing company, on better terms than Ghana did with Kosmos and Tullow btw, and is now reaping the rewards.   Move over Oprah, Nigerian oil tycoon Folorunsho Alakija is now the richest black woman in the world with an estimated fortune of $7.3 billion.
  Africa boasts 55 billionaires - far more than previously thought - and they're worth a staggering $143.88 billion in total, according to pan-African magazine Ventures Africa.
  Starting her career as a secretary in a bank in the mid 1970s, Alakija, 62, then studied fashion in London and returned to Nigeria to start a label, Supreme Stitches. But her biggest break came in oil.
  In 1993, her company, Famfa Oil, was awarded an oil prospecting license, which later became OML 127, one of the country's most prolific oil blocks, by then-president Ibrahim Babangida.
  The company owned a 60 per cent stake in the block until 2000 when the Nigerian government unconstitutionally acquired a 50 per cent interest without duly compensating Alakija or Famda Oil.
  In May 2012, Alakija, a married mother-of-four, challenged the acquisition and the Nigerian Supreme Court reinstated the 50 per cent stake to her company.
