  If I understood the Business and Financial Times newspaper's reporter correctly, should Ghanaians not be asking why Diamond Finance still went ahead to extend the loan to Ital Construct in the first place, when it knew perfectly well that that company's ability to repay it could be problematic?
  
  Does asking such a client to obtain guarantees from an insurance company, despite being aware of possible problems arising over repayment, not smack of a financial services company with a company culture infused with unethical behavior?
  
  And how can any self-respecting lawyer for a finacial services company, not request the directors of a company that sought a loan from the company he works for, which went bad, to show an agreement to their own lawyers, before getting them to sign anything pertaining to a court judgement debt on that selfsame loan issue?
  
  There are those who will argue that SIC should appeal against the judgement - for in their view both Ital Construct and Diamond Finance did not act in good faith when Ital Construct approached SIC for the bond.
  
  Some would say that the evidence adduced thus far in their fight in court is testament to their bad-faith nature and chicanery.
  
  SIC must fight them all the way to the highest level in the court system - as the company does not deserve to have its business destroyed by Ital Construct and Diamond Finance: both of which clearly should never be trusted, judging by their counter allegations as against each other, in this new court case.
  
  #OccupyGhana, over to you Joe Lartey - this is yet another clever attempt to destroy a profitable publicly-owned company: so that fat cats and crooks in the private sector can take over SIC's market share. End of story.
