You cant even buy beef now in the USA. Its an average of $4.00 a lb for the cheapest part of the meat, bottom roast round. We should be focusing on the domestic livestock industry

This is the time to teach Ghanaians how to raise cattle on the large vast of land we have. As the proverb goes it is better to teach one how to fish than to feed one. This step will further aggravate Ghana's balance of payment situation. I would have hoped that in the face of the challenges we face with Fulani cattlemen, the ambassador would be inviting Ghanaians to Texas, Oklahoma etc to learn best practices in raising cattle.

has any of you visited the kaneshie meat market before at say 5:00 pm closing time? chunks of beef laying around as far as the eye can see, and you wonder how they store all that meat at the end of the day. with swarms of houseflies playing cat and mouse on the raw beef. you know what all my local friends and relatives tell me, oooh there is nothing wrong with that, they have a way of preventing rot and contamination. yeah right!!! good riddance!

These are unhealthy cows. They are likely all of the cows are genetically grown. Talk about developing unknown diseases. I guess someone at the Ministry of agric is going on free first class flight to Nebraska.

This is outrageous and insulting to the nation.The US ambassador hosting a beef promotion event in Ghana.Instead of advising the government to promote serious cattle rearing in the country the ambassador wants Ghana to buy US beef.Anyway this is what the CIA sponsored coup of 1966 was all about-to colonise the economy and turn ghanaians into perpetual consumers of western industrial goods and agricultural produce.
