  Also a lot of talk about past mistakes to be corrected. But they haven't even begun to correct the high cost for foreign investors entering the country. Ghana has extremely high fees everywhere and a tumbling economy. "Wait and see"? Really?

  This is the kind of journalism we see again and again which is shoddy or at best misleading. The headline means the minister disagrees with the IMF, but that is not the case here. He disagreed with the IFS, another hopeless think-tank hell bent on writing off anything the government is doing to improve the economy. The IMF projected the Ghanaian economy to improve for the next two years which the government has worked hard to achieve. So the headline should have read:'Terkper Rejects IFS(Institute For Fiscal Studies) pessimism. Most of these so-called think-tanks seem to be doing the dirty work of opposition. They hardly do 'Think-Tank work but rather denigrate any work the government does towards improving the economy, aided and abetted by the hopeless gutter press who twist the truth and portray all positives into negatives thereby defeating the very essence of journalism to inform and educate the public on government activity, which is essentially to marshal the ship of state to improve national productive potential to maximum capacity. Most of these so-called think-tanks, the likes of Franklin Cudjoe's outfit are hopeless and give important and essential think-tank organizations a bad name. They are virtually mouthpieces of the opposition.

  Why will people not be pessimistic about the whole bailout program with IMF?.The amount involved is a slap in the face of Ghana and no one can convince even the ordinary man that all will be well.The government is making the $918million loan, the medicine for all our ailments.What is even a billion dollar in an economy like ours?.Let no one make any mistake,financial and funding credibility are more based on the recommendations of rating houses like FITCH/STANDARD and POOR than the IMF.Folks there is little hope for us .

  The guy always uses what is not guaranteed to make his projections.
  
  We can only thank Rawlings for imposing on Ghana such a USELESS AND DESTRUCTIVE FORCE AS NDC.
  
  Terkper DOESN'T KNOW HIS WORK. HE SEEMS TO BE TAKING ON THE IFS INSTEAD ENTERING INTO SOME SORT OF DISCUSSION EITHER DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY. HE SEEMS TO THINK LIKE ALL NDC FOLKS THAT ALL CRITICISMS ARE FROM ONES ENEMIES.
  
  EVEN PARENTS MUST CRITICIZE THEIR KIDS WHEN NEEDS BE. SO LISTEN TO CRITICISMS EVEN IF THEY ARE NEGATIVE AND FROM THE ENEMY FOR IT IS ALSO A WAY OF ALERTING YOU TO SOME THINGS YOU WOULD NOT HAVE IF IT WAS NOT FOR IT.

  Terper guy thinks he knows it all. When concerned citizens tried to highlight the pitfall of his budget did he listen to our free advice at all. he will; learn the hard way hence why NDC will be finished in 2016.

  FRONT-LOADING ANY FISCAL PLAN IS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS TO BOTH LENDER AND BORROWER BECAUSE IT EXPOSES BOTH TO SILLY AVOIDABLE RISKS. I WILL NOT GO ANY FURTHER BECAUSE I WOULD EXPECT GHANA'S FINANCE MINISTER AND/OR CENTRAL BANK GOVERNOR TO KNOW THE SIMPLE POTENTIAL RISKS EXPOSURE, UNLESS BOTH ARE USELESS LIKE WHAT OBTAINS IN GHANA OVER THE YEARS.

  WORKERS IN GHANA DO NOT HAVE DISPOSABLE INCOMES. 80% OF GHANAIAN WOEKERS LIVE FROM "HAND TO MOUTH" SO HOW DO THEY SAVE THEIR "DISPOSABLE INCOMES" IN THE FINANCIAL SECTOR TO ENSURE A CIRCULAR FLOW OF INCOME NECESSARY TO GENERATE A HEALTHY TAX REVENUE FOR GOVERNMENT. What have we done about increasing cocoa yield to make up for drop in prices? Doesnt the Mokola woman try to sell more when profits drop or doe she go and borrow to beef up profits?
