  WHOEVER is listening, WHOEVER is incharge, DIASPORANS who for love of country buy these bonds, are not even given back the investment at the end of the term, let alone being given quarterly / yearly statements of our investments. What is going on, and who is making these decisions. The bank of Ghana must see to it that good business practices are adhered to for all investors. Long live Ghana.

  Can somebody plead with Dr. Bawumia to keep on sounding the economic warning to this "DEAD GOAT" president and his "DINNING HALL PREFECTS"? This news from the IMF attests to the fact that Dr. Bawumia has no "CO-EQUAL" in Ghana in terms of accurate economic forecast.

  Why dosen't the goverment tap the diaspora for investment. I think about $5-6bn a year is sent back by Ghanaians (let alone those who for egalitarian/social reasons would also want to invest in Ghana).

  Why dosen't the goverment tap the diaspora for investment. I think about $5-6bn a year is sent back by Ghanaians (let alone those who for egalitarian/social reasons would also want to invest in Ghana).
  
  There has to be some way for Ghana to use the willingness and commitment of Ghanaians who are already sending money to support family and invest to help Ghana stablise and grow.
  
  It has to be an intiative that has backing from all parties so that a change in government doesn't mean a change in policy.
  
  Government really needs to start thinking out of the box and stop doing this "cap in hand" nonsense to other countries and IMF...indebting the country beyond its capabilities.

  If a poor country like Ghana borrows from a syndicate of banks -- whose charges are front-loaded with commissions to the signatory Ministers and their agents-- it increases their debts and makes them run to the IMF for help. Surely it is therefore in the enlightened self-interest of the IMF to investigate how these loans/bonds are syndicated and who benefits by way of commissions/charges?
  
  The IMF is pathetic.
  
  The Ghana exchequer has been raped by GYEEDA.
  Ghana has corruptly thrown money at SADA. Etc. Etc.
  
  Yet the IMF, without insisting that these moneys be retrieved and paid back before talks could begin, has agreed to lend Ghana nearly $1 billion in the next 3 years. This will mean Ghana's own revenues can be left in the hands of John Mahama to do distribution of money for the purpose of re-election. Is the IMF so dumb? Obviously -- for it is all there for anyone tpo see. 2015: take $1 billion from the IMF.
  2016-- splash on an electioneering campaign.

  Mahama feels confident in stealing from the coffers and taking money to fund/bribe. He's done it before and Ghanaians (majority) sat back and didn't cause a commotion/backlash.
  
  We only hope that no matter what money is spent on trying to bribe or "electioneering". The EC and the election will be transparent and there will be heavy monitoring and governance. No looking away due to bribes or motor cars.
  
  If not then honestly Ghana/Ghanaians can take a jump.
