Workers are up in arms against Steve Kpordzi's management style. ADB has collapsed in just 6 yrs under the current management declining from 5th position to 19th in the industry below the banks like Fidelity, Unibank, Prudential, Zenith, UBA etc. The non performing loans and overdrafts=Ghc600million which is more than the IPO=Ghc200million. Bad decision. Moving to a new head office is not a pre condition for listing on the stock exchange. Listening to Steve Kpordzi it seems he is not consistent and economical with the truth. He must proceed on leave for a forensic audit from 2009. Steve Kpordzi has sold adb landed properties in East Legon, Airport, Ridge etc to himself and the Board members. Recruitment is=99% ewe, appointment in adb=99% ewe. Staff victimization is targeted at non ewes. The workers have a genuine concerns and do not trust Kpordzi's management he constituted from cronyism and friends he poached among which is the HR executive head he recruited from a hotel.

Listening to him and saying he sold the landed properties to put up more branches in the era of e-banking where most banks are closing more branches to invest in e-banking products. Strategic direction is wrong and collapsing the banks. How can you sell a head office at Ridge for $10million and rent a property which adb has shares for Ghc1million a month??????? Workers are aware that the deal was a fishy deal and was given to Kpordzi's crony. The workers call for Steve Kpordzi to step aside for forensic audit is long overdue. The Board members have been compromised by buying some of the band landed properties under questionable circumstances. The Bod must be dissolved and investigated. The workers have more compelling evidence and facts of corruption and cronyism of Steve Kpordzi's management. adb=corrupt, cronyism and collapsing.

The bottom line is that there is no need to sell ADB. Agricultural Development Banks everywhere in the world are government owned to help farmers and fishermen. The NPP government tried to sell only 50% shares of the bank to Stanbic but backed down after protests from many quarters. I remember the NDC in opposition at that time supported these protests. If the ADB has been mismanaged to the extent that it is now rated lowly, then those responsible should be brought to account their mismanagement.
