  Pesticides meant for the cocoa farmers are sold to middlemen (smugglers) who manage to transport them outside Ghana. These smugglers act in collusion with some officers.

  If that means we sell small quantity and yet take more money as a result of shortage , so be it. Infact we , as producers, should adopt a new strategy by producing far less than we have done in the past , if that indeed is going to drive the price of the commodity to the roof.
