  Good points made in this article. The govt is out of its depth in managing the economic crisis it created. I am not sure they understand how an economy works.

  The BoG actually has no option than to increase the MPC and then give lame explanations for it. Government borrowing thru short term TBills at over 25% in the recent past and not really managing the proceeds well to yield rap ...

  The BoG actually has no option than to increase the MPC and then give lame explanations for it. Government borrowing thru short term TBills at over 25% in the recent past and not really managing the proceeds well to yield rapid productivity results only leads to the conclusion that the monetary policy will be increased to let people continue to keep their money in the TBills. Govt may not have enough money to payout to people who suddenly withdraw their money from the TBills should the policy rate and Tbill rate be lowered. They are too afraid to take that chance.
