Even the simple Post Office Savings cannot be revived and managed; and we have this narrow-minded, ethnic biased fellow as MD. He was handpicked and planted there by Haruna Iddrisu (now minister for Employment & Labour Relations) his Dagomba brother. THE WHOLE POSTAL SYSTEM WILL SOON COLLAPSE AS IT NOW TAKES 4 TO 5 DAYS TO SEND EMS TO THE NORTH!!!! WHY WOULD I NOT RATHER USE OA, VIP BUSES?

I am of the conviction that Ghana POst as an entity with assets virtually all over the country can easily be profitable. For a start the following suggestions can be implemented:

I am of the conviction that Ghana POst as an entity with assets virtually all over the country can easily be profitable. For a start the following suggestions can be implemented:

- Rebranding the Post Office as a trusted and reliable community partner;
- Increasing the postal boxes and establishing small community boxes close to residential areas, particularly for improperly demarcated areas and registering houses to do house delivery for well demarcated areas
-Partnering with an insurance company to offer insurance services, particularly for vehicle and life insurance
- partnering a reliable micro-finance company to start a savings and finance wing, which can have better profitability and subsidise other services.

Ghana Post has also lost a huge amount of business to private transport operators commonly called Ford or VIP cars. The opportunity is there but they don't care. The fact is, I think those involve in Ghana Post do get their salary regardless. So why should they bother. Thank you.

Ghana at this point of her life should have all houses numbered with street names and have mails delivered to their address.
This alone could generate work for people, and other businesses could use this accessability to deliver services to the people in their homes which require more drivers ( MORE WORK). The Ghana post could dominate this delivery system.All utility bills and bank and insurance statements should be mandated through parliament to use the GP so that they be part of the windfalls from these companies.

I received all my mails when i was in Port Harcourt, Nigeria in the '80s. Look how big Nigeria is and they could employ people to carry mail and small Ghana could not do this due to lack of leadership and innovation.
People DO NOT LIVE IN POST BOXES.
An address is where you domicile and NOT A P.O.BOX.
LACK OF PROPER INNOVATION AND NOT THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX IS THE SICKNESS BEDEVILING GHANA

A man resides in Anyaa in Accra and have his vehicle registered with a P.O. BOX in Accra North or worst Koforidua. Now he hit and run in an accident and all you had was his plate number and you proceeded to VRLA, and all they have on file his P.O. box number in Koforidua.
And you're told to go stand by his P.O. box to see if you could see him?
This actually happened when I was at VRLA on a business and bursted laughing and the poor VRLA official did not understand how stupid and unworkable that was until I explained how illogical it was, because that mail box may not even belonged to the owner of that vehicle.
We're 26 million with about 4 million households so how on earth can we make 4 million P O BOXES available to all if we refused to turn our residences in to our addresses.
With this, the ECG could easily know how many of us are connected to a particular transformer and check to upgrade it the moment the area has seen growth as all roads and streets will tell how many houses are actually situated on them and all unapproved structures pull down as as they're built.
