    The Bank of Ghana has a mandate to control the banks.
    The lazy ones are the politicians like our veep who are not doing their job well.

    Why are you blaming the banks? Their prime duty is to their shareholders - to maximise profits. If the govt's concerned about their dependence on T bills, then govt should stop borrowing from them

    If a government contractor borrowed money from the bank, the Government don't pay the contractor on time to pay the bank,sometimes you have to wait two or more years before thy pay you

    Veep has just put a nail on the head of banks activities.
    There's no communication between their customers with a simple bank statement which will remind them to save .

    Veep is talking banker to more for their shareholders by looking at other ventures of investment not to rely on TBill alone.

    I expressed similar sentiments in response to an earlier comment, before I read yours. I'm surprised by the number of commentators who agree with the Veep. Don't they realise the problem lies with govt, not banks?

    Why should the bank sticks to just one investment opportunity.
    Have a look off other investment ithat is made available to their customers per say which is regulated by the banks themselves none
