Half of that money goes to Customs officials and the other half goes to the National Security personnel posted to the ports by Atta Mills. Anyone who dares to investigate this should visit the ports and see how the security personnel collect monies from importers, agents and drivers in the wide open and under bright sunlight. It's shameful.

I think the radio station may have misreported this figure. US$50 billion is bigger than our current GDP by far. It does not make sense at all.

The governments do not care about the port because they are also milking Ghana somewhere. Ghana needs an iron fist to tame all criminals at certain vantage points. We are struggling but the government doe's not care.
