That is business. No body do business nd loose.
Ask yourself if Ghana government himself has reduce the price of petrol and utilities because the Ghc has gain value.

It is not about GUTA reducing prices of goods or not; rather it is about market forces. If importers who benefit from the lower dollar rates import and flood their goods on the market by the next month or two at lower rates, nobody will force GUTA to reduce their prices. Much as I sympathize with them, they should understand that they hold no monopoly over individual behaviour when it comes to pricing.

They are quick to respond to price increase but are reluctant to respond to price decrease. Let their goods rot in their shops. Let consumers boycott patronising goods apart from food for the next six months then. Thieves!!!

GUTA is living in a dream world. Competition and the very Chinese and Nigerian importers they keep complaining about will make them bring their prices down. That is the beauty of competition. When exchange rates go up they immediately increase their prices. At that time did they not have 6 months worth of stocks to maintain the prices. This is only greed at work and it will fail under market forces. Then they will again go demonstrating against foreigners in trading. They should be honest and trade fairly

Abaa. Government should force them to reduce the prices of their goods.

Is he saying that he will hang unto his goods even if the market and the cedi rate demand a reduction in the prices of their goods? He will regret if he did that. In respect of the poor quality of goods some of them import into the country, these same importers were against the move by this Government for goods to be inspected overseas to ensure high quality before being imported into the country. Are the importers being fair to the consumers? Time will tell. They cannot continue to have it both ways.

We have not forgotten the very day Kuffour came to power under NPP, the Abossey Okai spare parts dealers and others reduced prices of goods which hitherto were on the increase.
Even with all these Kuffour messed up by rushing without any feasibility done to build Bui Dam which is now a white elephant plunging us all into darkness.
The more you people do this, the more you expose yourselves come 2016.
