THe adhoc approach to energy production must stop. VRA must get its act together and exercise much greater professionalism in its operations.
Dumso has gone on for far too long! Our people have suffered for too long all because of the sheer incompetence in the energy sector, especially at VRA.

It is my best bet that, a long and viable way to keep the water in the Volta Lake at maximum level for the power plant to operate at full load capacity all the time is to use high powered pumping machines to pump the water leaving the dam back into the lake. Honourable Minister and the-powers-that-be with our power sector should read this and embark on this viable fix to the perennial water problems for the dam.

The energy required to do the upstream pumping might be bigger than what the pumped water will generate. Let the engineers investigate before embarking on a probable exercise of futility.

Why can't Ghana generate solar power at community and rooftop level to be fed into the national grid? this may reduce demand on the dam in the day and conserve water for the nights. It works in California. Why not Ghana.
