ANYTHING COMING FROM IMPORT DUTIES MUST IDEALLY BE ADDITIONAL REVENUE, PERQUISITES TO BE PRECISE. LEADERSHIP IS LACKING THE INNOVATION. YOU HAVE DESTROYED YOUR FORESTS BY CUTTING ALL TREES WITHOUT REPLACEMENT, WHEN WE COULD ACTUALLY GROW TREES TO SELL FOR EXAMPLE. THE GOOD OLD COCOA AND COFFEE, WE ARE DECLINING IN THEIR PRODUCTION. THE IMPORT DUTY ON CARS IN PARTICULAR IS DAY LIGHT ROBBERY, YET GHANAIANS ARE SILENT. I STOP SEF.

  There will be a lot of pressure from the crooks and mafias who have ruined the Ghananian economy and sent money abroad to tax havens.
  Single window system is the first step in the right direction to educate people on fair trading.With corruption out of the way all the revenue will go in to developing infrstructure of care and self sustainment. Small industries will get support and the education and health system will get extraordinary boost.My advice is to watch out those NGOs who would create hurdles.They are supported by various MNCs and vested interests. The Media should be alert and nutral when dealing with these forein NGOs.

  WHAT A COUNTRY!! OUR "LEADERS" OFTEN FORGET THAT GHANA, A POOR THIRD-WORLD COUNTRY, DOES NOT COMPARE WITH THE UK, GERMANY AND THE US.
  
  GHANA HAS BEEN EXPORTING GOLD, DIAMONDS, ELECTRICITY, COCOA, OIL, TIMBER, AND MANY OTHER PRODUCTS OVER THE YEARS.
  
  WHERE DO GHANA'S EXPORT REVENUES AND DOMESTIC TAX REVENUES GO TO?

  Who grants the tax exemptions in the first place? Is it not the government?Tell the government to stop giving such tax exemptions if it wants increase in revenue collection.

  This is the wrong approach when the country desperately needs private investment boosting the economy. Exemptions have been put in place for certain regulatory reasons, not for fun.
