So sad that the Ghana Post had allowed some golden opportunities passed them by. Today, e-mail had DISRUPTED its main source of income by selling stamps. And due to lack of street names and physical address system in the country, Ghana Post could not take advantage of parcels and special mail delivery systems.
With everyone on phone, Ghana Post as a government institute, could make our parliament to enact a law to force the TELCOS to have fixed accounts to some of their subscribers where they would delver the bill and so with other utilities and make more money and which also could have allowed them to employ more people and and turn their fortunes around.
TODAY, THE GHANA POST IS BROKE AND THEIR BUILDINGS ARE FALLING APART.
The postal general went to school but could NOT be innovative.
These things do not need any investment. All they need is to force the local governments to implement the address system like in NIGERIA and use the legislative instruments to force the TELECOS AND UTILITY COMPANIES to use Ghana post to send bills.

The idea of transferring money were for the postal services, but for lack of innovation others took over. Do you all remember the postal order? This is because the service has the government as its fat cow. Leaders who refuse to review business processes for improvement and innovative ideas will be left out. Obtaining a degree is one thing and making it useful to impact the people and your environment is another. Naming streets will help the government to mobilize revenue, improve the performance of the postal service and as well help the security agencies to ensure safety just to mention a few
