  I think this is absolutely nonsense. Licensing seed varieties doesn't contribute in anyway improved agricultural productivity. One who's completely detached from reality and farming would make such baseless analysis. The approach is going to deny resource poor farmers to save heirloom seeds passed on from generation to generation. This is a form of patent and traditional seeds that have inherited resistance to harsh climate would be replaced by genetically-engineered seeds that depend highly on synthetic agro-chemicals and fertilizer utilization. Also, farmers will not be able to save seeds for planting the farming season.They will have to go back to sour to pay new seeds each time. Stop

People have their own sovereignty and food sovereignty is fundamental human rights-food for all doesn't mean few have to control the production system. Seed license burdens the poor farmers and accumulates wealth to the multinational corporations and greedy bastards. Really upset with this licencing as it's a threat to indigenous agriculture and poor farmers

  The forces behind GMO is really making progru in ghana. Very soon farmers will have to pay for seeds and will be illegal to grow seeds without purchase(copyright ). it is sad yhe goveru and its institutioi are cllaboratii with these evil bodies to sell ghana.it couldn't work in zimbabwe but typical fools in ghana will help them carry it through in ghana. We are going to leave the generations to come with nothing.

African farmers have been planting seeds obtained naturally since Adam's time, and they don't need any so-called improved seeds that are genetically modified. Ghanaians should be alert and oppose any criminal Politician who will try to push this nonsense into the country.
