What about the investors money? Will they be paid all? And are you BoG doing this at the interest of some other banks such as GCB, GN Bank and others? We'll vote this government OUT!!!

I would like to commend BoG for such a move. However, BoG should do not little to intensify publicity and education in order not to fall in the hands of these fake microfinance institutions. Above all, BoG is ought to put in place stringent modalities and strategies to ensure the safety and release the customer's deposits as soon as possible. BoG must install emergency ways of disbursing locked up deposits equitably whiles cracking down on them .If the entire process of retrieving deposits with such institutions delay unduly, then we will blame bog for such a great mess.
Besides, we have a good deal of these fraudulent microfinance institutions in Sunyani and beyond because they realise the region is vulnerable. let's all rise up to root out these unscrupulous institutions before innocent people become victims.

Oh Mr Amanfo and the BOG, please if you want to serve the interest of the masses then you should better speed things up so that more people do not die before you take action. I mean at the moment a lot of victims of these MFI in BA are going through a lot of trauma .Schools would be opening soon and so many kids cannot go to school because parents monies are locked up. Some cannot even afford to buy food for their families. Businesses are collapsing and people are committing suicides. Some are been imprisoned and a lot more cannot even come out from their closets. There is real hell here in BA Mr Amanfo. Please don't live in the comfort of your office in Accra and assume that your actions are in the best interest of the customers. If you have already taken the decision to close them down then please catalyse the process of making them pay their clients deposits before every good intention becomes too late. At the moment BOG is battling GILFC and the Chief Justice has requested for the docket of that case to be sent to Accra. We know it's the BOG's attempt to show them where power lies. It's the poor customer who suffers eventually. Most people do not think that the MFI is the problem because they had neve defaulted in their obligations to their clients before the BOG froze their accounts. Please hear the cries of the dying masses.

Can someone convince me not to believe that some officials BoG share in the booty of these illegal MFIs. Please allow them to pay the deposits of their customers before you close them down to safe precious lives. Enough is enough. God should forgive us for this attitude of waiting for issues to get out of hand before we pretend solving it. Where were the inteligent personel of BoG and the Nation for some these MFIs operated for over three years plus now. They are paid to protect the vulnerable in the public but not to worsen their plight. The Lord is watching, please do your work well and get blessed. We are already in hard times so BoG, just let the commpanies pay the depositors for once then we shall believe and have our minds cleared that you are not behind them. God bless who ever this article concerns and act appropriately for the poor to have their monies paid them.
